The beams we use are glue laminated Douglas Fir with a neutral color waterproof adhesive.
• The 'engineered wood' beams are manufactured to strict standards and are nearly 3 times the strength of solid sawn timber.
• While not holding a current Forest Stewardship Council, FSC, certification, the manufacturer of these beams can very efficiently utilize the smaller trees in a forest and promote sustainable forestry methods.
