A growing greenhouse is built with plants in mind. Fresh greens, herbs, and vegetables throughout the winter are a gardener's dream. Design considerations include:
• Extensive roof glazing, maximum visible light transmission, automatic temperature control, cross ventilation, condensation and humidity control.
• The moist environment that plants need can present challenges for any structure and for the attached house as well. Condensation forming on the room side of the glass must be collected and 'weeped' to the exterior (System Overview). Moisture management in the greenhouse should prevent excess humidity from entering the attached house and causing a nuisance.
